What we collect, and what we never had in the first place

This page describes what actually happens, not what a template says should happen. Where we do not collect something, it is usually because the system was built so that it could not.

There is no call recording

Not "we delete it after 30 days" — there is no audio to delete. Calls travel directly between the phone carrier and the voice provider; the audio never passes through us, so we could not store it even if we wanted to. What we keep is a written transcript of each call, because that is what lets a business owner check what was said.

What a call transcript contains

The caller’s words, the receptionist’s words, and every check that ran against the business’s diary. Plus the caller’s phone number and the name they gave, because those are what a booking is made of. It belongs to the business that received the call, and it is visible only to that business’s own account.

This website uses two analytics tools

Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people arrived and from where. PostHog tells us what they did once here — which sections were read, how a page was scrolled and moved through, which recordings were played, which buttons were pressed. Both use cookies. Neither of them receives your name, your email address or anything you type into a form.

Turning that off

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we load neither tool — nothing is sent at all, and you do not have to click anything. You can also opt out for this browser using the link at the bottom of this page. We do not sell or share personal information in the sense the California CPRA uses those words.

The form on this site

The one form here — the "tell us about your trade" form — sends what you typed to [email protected] so a person can read it. It is not used for anything else, and there is no mailing list to be added to.

Text messages to your customers

Confirmations, next-day reminders and cancellation receipts go to the phone number the caller gave on the call, for the booking they just made — usually one to three messages per booking. There is no marketing messaging, and we never sell or share mobile numbers with anyone. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help; because one number sends for every business on the platform, STOP stops the confirmations from all of them, not just the shop you last called.

Who else sees any of this

The phone carrier and the voice model provider handle the call itself; the payment processor handles subscriptions and never gives us your card number. We do not sell data to anybody, and there is no advertising network on this site.

Asking us anything about it

Write to [email protected] and a person will answer. If you are a customer of one of our merchants and want your booking data removed, ask them — it is their record, and they can delete it from their own dashboard.

Opt this browser out of analytics

This stores a single flag in your browser and stops both tools from loading on your next visit. Clearing your browser data clears the flag as well.
