An AI receptionist for restaurants that counts seats, not bookings

The phone goes during service and nobody can leave the pass. This picks it up, knows a party of six will not fit on a two-top, holds the table for as long as that sitting actually runs, and texts the guest a code. Six or more, and your own phone buzzes before the call has ended.

What it does on the call

It counts seats, not bookings.

Every table has a size, so a party of six is never offered a two-top — it does that arithmetic before it opens its mouth.

Parties of six or more text you the moment they land, whatever time of day it is.

A sitting is sixty minutes unless you said otherwise, and a long tasting menu holds the table for as long as you told it to.

Same-day cancellations reach you straight away, so the table can go back out.

True in every trade

Your customers’ languages

Over twenty, recognised as the caller speaks. Nobody presses a key and nobody has to ask.

A book you can actually read

Today’s list, a calendar, and the written transcript of the call behind every single row.

Change it in a sentence

New service, new hours, a day off — write it the way you would say it. There is no settings screen to hunt through.

Your customers cancel by text

The confirmation text is also how they get out of it. They reply, the slot goes back into your book, and you are told if it was for today — no queue, no app, and nobody has to phone you back to cancel.

Your side is in your language too

The dashboard is in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese — dates and durations included. You should not have to work in your second language to run your own book.

A person, when they ask for one

Add and confirm your mobile and “can I speak to someone?” rings it. Until you confirm it, the receptionist never offers a transfer it cannot make — it takes a message instead.

Questions

Restaurants: the things people ask first

How does it know a party of six will not fit?

Because your tables have sizes, not just a count. You told it you have five four-tops and two twos; it adds up what is actually free at that hour before it offers anything. A booking you have to phone back and undo costs you a guest, not just a table.

Our sittings are not all the same length. Can it hold longer?

A sitting is sixty minutes unless you said otherwise. Write “dinner runs about ninety minutes” or “the tasting menu is two and a half hours” and that is what gets held — so the eight o’clock is not sold twice.

Will I know about a big table before the night arrives?

Six or more texts you the moment it books, at any hour. So does a same-day cancellation, because that is a table you can still sell. An ordinary two-top for next Thursday does not — that is what the evening summary is for, and a phone that buzzes for everything gets ignored for everything.

Half our guests do not open in English. Does that work?

Play the recording on this page. The phone gets handed around a family three times and the language changes five times in one call — nobody presses a key, nobody asks it to switch, and the table is still booked at the end.
